Structural Steel Fire Proofing

Structural steel is widely used in the construction of many types of building within New Zealand. Generally, it is used in combination with concrete to provide strong functional buildings that are relatively fast to construct. The framework of the building is constructed with structural steel and this generally needs some fire proofing to enable people to exit the building in the event of a fire and the fire service to attempt to control the spread of fire to neighbouring properties.
